Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) responds to a request from the IPCC

Argonne National Laboratory (ANL) provided life cycle greenhouse gas emission results for various fuels and drivetrains for road transportation, responding to a request from the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) to the Federal LCA Commons Group. The results are based on a variety of publications by Argonne and will be used to support evaluation of options for reducing transportation sector greenhouse gas emissions in the IPCC 6th Assessment Report. Argonne makes its LCA results publicly available in the annual releases of Argonne’s Greenhouse gases, Regulated Emissions, and Energy use in Technologies (GREET®) model. Argonne works closely with other members of the Federal LCA Commons to ensure GREET is consistent with other LCA efforts across the Federal government.
