New Commons Merged Repositories: Combining Existing Databases

Commons Merged is a new database built from multiple data packages (i.e., data objects in a repository, as released with a version identifier) on the Federal LCA Commons. The database is assembled by the LCA Data Package Manager (LDPM), which follows the original authors’ instructions for connecting processes via exchange default provider pointers across data packages.

This workflow allows users to download a single, reproducible build rather than individually downloading packages and manually connecting data objects across them. No changes are made to exchange values or units from the original objects.

There are two versions of the Commons Merged repositories. Commons Merged includes a mixture of industry-supplied data and data from federal agencies.  Commons Merged Hybrid is identical to Commons Merged but also includes USEEIO v2. The use of combined data in either repository  does not constitute or imply an endorsement by the agencies of the Federal LCA Commons.
