US Electricity Baseline 2022 Released

The Federal LCA Commons has released an updated version of the U.S. Electricity Baseline to reflect conditions in 2022. This data reflects version 2.0 of the ElectricityLCI, from which the 2022 data was released by NETL earlier this month. In addition to the updated data vintage for electricity generation emissions and electricity trading, this update also includes an expansion of upstream inventories for renewable resources (e.g., solar and wind construction), a number of bug fixes and corrections, and additional metadata improvements. For full details, please refer to the ElectricityLCI package on GitHub.

To support users in their use of this data, we have also released an initial list of Frequently Asked Questions specifically for the U.S. Electricity Baseline. This FAQ is likely to expand over time.
